MONDAY, April 27, 2026, deadline for registration by deputy registrar, online, DMV office or other agency or for registration form to be delivered to the election office by someone other than the person registering.
FRIDAY, May 1, 2026, 6:00 pm, deadline for in person voter registration to be eligible to vote in the May 12, 2026, Primary Election. The County Clerk’s office will be open until 6:00 pm on May 1, 2026, to receive Voter Registrations.
FRIDAY, May 1, 2026, 6:00 pm, deadline to request Early Voting (formerly absentee) ballots be mailed to a specific address.
MONDAY, May 11, 2026, last day for in-person Early Voting (formerly absentee) in the County Clerk’s Office.
TUESDAY, May 12, 2026, 7:00 pm, deadline for an agent to pick up Early Voting (formerly absentee) ballot.
TUESDAY, May 12, 2026, 8:00 pm, deadline for return of all Early Voting (formerly absentee) ballots. (Early Voting ballots must be returned to the Clerk’s Office, not the Polling Place.)
No candidate or any person serving on a committee for a candidate shall act as agent for any voter requesting an Early Voting (formerly absentee) ballot. No person shall act as agent for more than two voters for any one election.
From Section 208 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 (42 U.S.C. 1973aa-6): Any voter who requires assistance to vote by reason of blindness, disability or inability to read or write may be given assistance by a person of the voter’s choice, other than the voter’s employer or agent of that employer or officer or agent of the voter’s union.
If you will be 17 years of age on or before the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November (November 3, 2026) you are eligible to register to vote in the May 12, 2026, Primary Election. (Nebr. Rev. Statute 32-312)
